Artio Joom SEF 2.3.4 is a lovely tool but it has a couple of naughty
SPAM type problems that come with the free version. Artio JoomSEF
inserts a back link on every page. To remove Artio JoomSEF's hijack of
your content pages by the naughty addition of the "SEO by Artio"
backlink from all pages do the following changes, note the change works
only with versions 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 of Artio JoomSEF though you could try
it on other versions at your own risk.

Edit administrator/components/com_sef/sef.class.php

In version 2.3.3/4 of Artio JoomSEF
This is achieved by the following line of code on 415 of
administrator/components/com_sef/sef.class.php:

$buf = '<'.'d'.'i'.'v'.'>'.'<'.'a'.' '.'h'.'r'.'e'.'f'.'='.'"'.'h'.'t'.'t'.'p'.':'.'/'.'/'.'w'.'w'.'w'.'.'.'a'

replace it with: $buf = ' ';
Finally once you have a good working version of Artio JoomSEF then
there is no need to upgrade unless you have a specific bug/issue you are
addressing. If you upgrade this hack will be overwritten and the spam
will return. Stay with the version of JoomSEF that works!
