thermometers-tiny.png The steampunk yahoo thermometer widget now has an additional steampunk printer that can show cpu / gpu temperatures over time. I'm improving it  slowly. There will be some unknown extras that will help clarifying the temperature display. I'm not sure what they are yet but I'm working on it.

As I'm making changes I'm sticking it up onto the LQ download page so
anyone can trial it. Rather than getting bogged down with the actual
technicalities of the temperature side of things, I am going to get the
UI to work first. Then if for some unknown reason (intelligence, lack of
application, stupidity) I fail to get the temperature code working with
speedfan then I will reuse the interface to work as a cpu utilisation
monitor. Instead of showing temperature, each thermometer can be mapped
to a specific core and can be used to show the current cpu utilisation
whilst the printer can then show the cpu usage over time.

I am enjoying the Photoshop design side of things, I definitely prefer
the design phase to the coding. I have three other widgets up my sleeve
that I'd like to complete but these things take time. On top of that I
am still working on the MkII version of the Steampunk clock/calendar.
Lots to do. better get on with it.
