Jozerworx was asked if he would allow us to use his packaged executable
(which is already oon the Yahoo widget gallery) but he declined stating
that it was copyright to him so I had to write my own. The output is
very similar indeed to mine, just a sensor count and then a series of
values for sensor temperatures. The only difference is a copyright
message which mine doesn't have. My widget code could be modified to use
his executable but Joserworx specifically said he didn't want me to do
this.

This is the only reason I created my own executable and I have
deliberately bundled the source with the widget so others can use it if
they want to.

I completely understand Yahoo's reasons for not wanting to bundle an
executable in my package but I started out on the development two months
or so ago believing that if I followed the same development route as
Jozerworx then I would be OK (bearing in mind that he's had 286,000
downloads without any problems, it sets quite a precedent.)

I am happy to disclose the source code, in fact it is attached here. You
will see it is very simple indeed:

I have told Yahoo that I am always happy to submit any source code changes so
that they can check or compile it themselves. Regardless of any changes to the
widget I do not aim to make any changes to the c++ code until the
Speedfan developer includes sensor names in his API, this won't be for a
while, say 6 months, if we are lucky. There will be no changes until then.

I am planning to re-submit, but this time 0.17, the c++ executable has
undergone no changes. I have also updated the documentation here so that
everyone knows what the executable is for.

I have emailed Yahoo and have asked them to reconsider the submission
and if my plea is successful I hope to have the steampunk cpu/gpu
thermometer widget accepted some time soon.
