This is version 2.0 of the Facebook mambot button for individual content articles that gives you the latest Facebook linking functionality. It has been designed specifically for Joomla 1.0.15/ Joostina 1.2.

It has just been tested on both Joomla and Joostina and you can see it here in action: http://www.goodwoodantiques.co.uk

This mambot will automatically place a small facebook button next to your articles. If your visitor is logged into Facebook then it will link the article to his facebook account.

Facebook like this button on

individual Virtuemart products.

It will also work on virtuemart 1.0.15 product items as long as you make a change to one VM product file:

shop.product_details.php

in this folder: /public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html

Find this line:

And add this code immediately beneath:

Ensure you enable the plugin after installing it.

If the facebook link does not appear at first, do not worry, it will, try clearing the Joomla cache and the browser cache and then stick the { facebook }{ /facebook } moscode tags (without spaces) in a content item and set Manual URLs to ON.

A couple of refreshes after that and it should start to appear site wide. Sometimes it takes a while for a Joomla 1.0 plugin to wake up!.

Title: Always same article shares

I have installed and enabled mambot, and facebook share icon is displayed under each article. But when i click share it always share same article on facebook. I can't share diferent article, it is always tries to share this one article.
I have joomla 1.0.15

I try your mambot, but I have one problem. I use xfbml and on a frontpage (http://www.cebovce.sk) and in article (http://www.cebovce.sk/index.ph...6&Itemid=1) I see Like button. It is OK, but on a blogcategory (http://www.cebovce.sk/index.ph...&Itemid=76) I see your share button not Like button.
What is wrogn? Please I you have idea send me a solution.

Title: og:image tag missing :(

As object, in my Joomla 1.0.15 it seems the og:image tag is not present.
I'm using xfbml settings and the og:image missing parameter is set to "http://www.sogema.eu/images/stories/fblogo.png"

Try browsing one of my articles (http://www.sogema.eu/ultime/om...onami.html) and you notice that no og:image tag, the one related to the aticle or the default missing image, is present in the source code smilies/sad.gif

Can you help me, please?

EDIT: Cristian, I checked your site and the og:image tag is definitely present on the link you showed me. Sorry for the late response but I only just found your comment...

I'm very impressed for the good work that dean has made to help me with the installation and configuration of this module, I've a problematic configuration with a old joomla 1.0x and Dean without problem have helped me to solve all the issues.

The mambot to insert the button does not work I like. I entered the ID code of the application I like facebook but I do not show the button in the content. Of course I checked the mambot is enabled. What can be the problem?

EDIT: You need to read the instructions and make all the changes as required.Test if it works in share and iframe mode first. If it does then the mambot is working. If it fails to work in XFBML mode then you do not have the JSDK bot installed, configured and/or switched on as well or you have mistyped or misconfigured the app id.

A great thanks for this release. I 've tried once without succes... I've readed well the documentation, but... i'm french...

sorry... so i have installed but then i losted the use of my fckeditor. and when i enabled, i had the same problem than Marcus...
I have changed editor to jck, and i would try again, but i'm not sure really understand what to do after the install... about for example change the name of the file (joomla 1.0.15.php => joomla.php)... I'm going to translate once again the doc... but i feel i miss something...
