These are the Virtuemart / Joomla / Joostina extensions we use when building our Virtuemart Ecommerce sites, please feel free to download and use them on your own site. These are all FREE extensions. This download area used to be mainly for Joomla 1.0/Joostina & Virtuemart 1.0 extensions.

Now there are several native Joomla 1.5 extensions here too.

We focus on Virtuemart 1.0 & 1.1 and Joomla 1.0/1.5 extensions because the Joomla Extension Directory (JED) has a policy of turning off older Joomla 1.0/VM 1.0 extensions, but we are more than happy to carry on offering some of them here.

(Many on-line shops are still using VM 1.0 as it is hell of a job to upgrade to 1.5 and VM 1... Occasionally I still build VM 1.0 sites, they are quicker to load and don't need as much tuning/optimisation unlike VM 1.1 shops on Joomla 1.5).

Also, a new CMS based upon Joomla 1.0 is coming into fashion, Joostina CMS is a Conent Management System that has backward compatibility with all Joomla 1.0 extensions. Joomla 1.0.15 on steroids!

Joomla Installation Notes : Where it states a extension is for Joomla 1.0/Joostina or Joomla 1.5  then that extension is generally not for any other Joomla version. Not even legacy. You can try it and see if it works but the effect is unknown.

In general never install a legacy extension on a current site, not even in legacy mode, unless you know exactly what you are doing, it can slow down your site and can cause problems. It may work but that's up to you to find out on your test site only! not live!

Regardless of the extension, before you install anything, backup your site!
