I have started work on a Facebook 'like This' Button for Joomla 1.0.15
If you visit http://www.henleyoperatic.co.uk/latest/index.php
you may notice a new facebook 'like this' button on all news
articles. This button is not a new thing on joomla sites in
general but it is a new feature for Joomla 1.0 sites. If you have a
facebook account then you can click 'like this' and it will go onto your
Facebook page when you share it.

I wrote this specifically for Joomla 1.0 for the HAODS site but it will
work on any Joomla 1.0.15 site. It generally works, but there were
a couple of teething problems. On a couple of articles when I was
testing, Facebook stored the incorrect text in its cache and it won't
disappear. However, where you click on 'like this' on a nice new article
that no-one has liked before it seems to do the job of inserting the
article link, the subject and some of the article text. It seems to do
it well. Any problems let me know.

Facebook publicity is a good thing. Feel free to use it every time you
like an article in order to publicise it amongst your facebook friends.
It encourages others to do the same. I will release this mambot/plugin for
Joomla 1.0 soon.
