The calendar ring rotates by mouse control, the date displays according to ring position. The inner earth and moon rotate, the moon around the earth. The earth rotates around the central glow, roughly following the track of the window circular frame. The developer known as 'joker' has used my original graphics and my design but simply enhanced the functionality in respect of the planetary movement and the co-ordination of the various components. The Steampunk Orrery requires the Plasmoids widget engine and the Marble Virtual Globe plugin is also required for the widget to function.  There are full instructions to be found here:

This widget works with Kubuntu Linux 13.04 with KDE4.x.
Installing: plasmapkg -i timekeeper-#.#.#.plasmoid
