This is the Konfabulator/Yahoo widget that I created with the assistance of Cannuckenken/kjc66 who provided the idea and some initial imagery and Harry Whitfield who sorted out my coding adding elegance and functionality to my primitive coding attempts.

An interesting regulator style Clock widget is a pretty yahoo widget for your desktop. It is a simple multi-timezone stopwatch and clock. Functional and gorgeous at the same time. I based this widget upon my original U Boat yahoo widget clock.

CREDIT: The clock face was created by KJC66, all the other graphics, hands, surround, reflections are mine. KJC66 asked me to create the widget as he wanted a regulator clock of this style. I was happy to oblige.

Fig. 1 - The Panzer Dual Clock in stopwatch mode.

The widget can be resized - Hover the cursor over the widget. Press the CTRL key and use your mousewheel up or down. The widget will resize dynamically.

The centre button switches the watch from the normal dual clock face to stopwatch mode (shown above).

Stopwatch functions. The top button is the start button. Pressing it the first time will switch the watch from the normal dual clock face to stopwatch mode and will start a timing run.

The second press of the top button pauses the timing run however, the timing run is still continuing in the background. This also activates the bottom button.

Press the bottom button to continue the run, you'll see the hands catch up to where they should have been.

Press the top button once more to zero the hands.

Not a lot of changes but they all take time to complete. This was a learning process rather than a conversion process just to create another widget. Here is just one more of over 500 steampunk icons and widgets that I have created that will leave your Windows or Mac desktop looking absolutely spiffing. There is a whole set of the little thingies and I must say they do look very steampunk indeed! They really are a suitable replacement for the boring old default icons that come with Rocketdock/ObjectDock &c.

You will,  of course, need the Konfabulator engine for this widget to run. Get the Yahoo widget Konfabulator engine here.

and the Mac version here:

All javascript widgets need an engine to function, in this case the widget uses the Konfabulator widget engine. The engine interprets Instructions for the U-Boat widgetregulator-clock-250.pngthe javascript and creates the widget according to the XML description and using the images you provide.

yahoo-widgets-logo.pngThis widget works with Windows XP SP3, it has been tested on Vista, Windows 7/8  and 10. There is full help for this widget to be found here .
